Products and procedures

Gotar technology is made up of two independent but complementary families of products. The first group consists of products for dissolving ferrous or non-ferrous oxidation and lime deposits. The second group features degreasers, decarburants, and emulsifiers for organic materials and synthetic and greases fluids. When more than one type of contamination is present in the same system, different products from the two groups can be used following strict guidelines.

Gotar has standardized application methods and offers technical support as well as laboratory services which enable the development of customer adapted solutions. Applications or solutions can be performed in-house or by certified contractors. Gotar provides the necessary guidelines for the correct use of its products.


Deoxidizers / Descalers


This product deoxidizes, descales, and decarburizes steel, copper alloys, iron, and other noble alloys. It dissolves both ferrous and non-ferrous oxidation, corrosion, and lime.


Similar to Gotar-D, but designed specifically for treating light metals such as aluminum, magnesium, or tin alloys.


This product is specifically formulated for the passivation process. It removes contamination from stainless steel surfaces.


Degreasers / Emulsifiers


Degreaser and emulsifier of organic material (algae, mud, silt) in heat exchange systems. This versatile product eliminates most contamination, both mineral and organic.

This product is often used before Gotar-D to increase effectiveness and ensure the perfect clean.


Specially designed to clean deposits of synthetic lubricants and oil residues caused by friction.


Similar to Gotar-DGS, but designed to treat the surfaces of light metals, for instance the particular metals used in the aerospace industries (aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, etc.)

Note : Gotar products come in liquid form. Certain products are also available as a gel or semi-gel for application on vertical surfaces.

Good for efficiency

One of the most amazing benefits of Gotar technology is the consistently high performance standards at which equipment can be maintained, with a corresponding reduction in maintenance time and replacement parts. As we have seen, traditional acid cleaning can leave contamination in the system, thus allowing it to reform quickly, requiring more frequent cleanings which make the system less and less efficient. This causes lower equipment performance. In addition, the highly corrosive acids often cause the need for premature replacement of parts. On the other hand, Gotar products practically return the equipment to its original mint condition.
